Why do I need to become more consistent?

At first glance, this is obvious right?  Everyone can say, “being more consistent is going to make me more successful.” Duh.  But why do I need to be more consistent?

There are health benefits that I will definitely benefit hugely from by staying consistent.  By establishing a morning routine, my days will be jump started and it will be easier to make healthier decisions throughout the day.  If I am awake and moving on time, it will be easier to motivate myself to exercise.  It will also be easier to have more opportune times to try and exercise without it feeling like it swallows up too much of my day.  Applying consistency to my health will also result in regular eating habits.  I have been doing this in recent months and it saw great results, but as of late I have been slipping and that also has seen results.  By staying consistent with my eating habits I can make sure I am feeling better more often, and continuing to lose weight as I need to be.

Consistency will also help in keeping more positive personal relationships in my life.  Maintaining consistency through the avenues already mentioned will alleviate a lot of anxieties that I feel on a day-to-day basis.  This will allow me to be a more consistent person to others.  When those anxieties build up, I tend to shut myself off from the world socially and isolate myself.  By establishing routines and consistency I can establish a certain confidence in myself that will provide a level of comfort that will allow me to be a more consistently social person.  Obviously, being unemployed is an embarrassing thing to lead with right now when meeting new people; however, through consistency I should be able to fix that issue as well.

From the career, comes the financial benefits.  By staying consistent I can hopefully find not only a career that shows opportunity for financial growth, but a headspace and routine that will push me to be more frugal with my decisions as well.  I tend to spend money out of boredom, but if I establish a savings routine and stay consistent with it then I can spend that “boredom time” planning my next savings goal instead of my next gadget or game.

This is day 1 of this new writing adventure, and it is iconic and important that consistency is the first topic.  In every pitfall time of my life, consistency has been the key factor in recovering.  These small writing entries will serve as my physical proof to myself that I am remaining consistent as I enter this new chapter of my life.
