Hello!
Welcome to my blog! Regardless of how you have happened to find yourself here, I am happy that you have arrived. This space is going to be part journal, part gallery, part hobby, and part whatever else I can possibly think of as it continues to grow.
My name is Brock! I am a writer, technically currently a new fantasy author, lifelong gamer, huge sports fanatic, card collector, comic reader, nature lover, and someone who still has very much to figure out.
My first published novella, Tide of Ash, is the “pilot episode” for my big overall project, The Resonant Saga. I have built an entire world around Kai and Reva, siblings who must band together to face the dangers of an unknown world. The world is grounded in emotional characters, mystic technology, strange natural magic, and a deep rooted mystery that will leave you itching to solve.
I want this blog to be more than just a basic “life updates!” page. At first this site was just going to be used to promote my books, but that would completely leave out the fact that writing (and reading) have been such a foundational building block in my life.
The stories that I write don’t come from thin air. They come from my experiences. Video games, sports, setbacks, teenage heartbreak, championship victories, obsessions, late-night hijinx, early morning consequences, regrets, proud moments… I draw upon everything that’s built me to build around me.
So, this is where all of THAT stuff gets to live!
The blog will be broken down into different categories or channels. I am sure that more will be added as I continue along, but right now we have:
From the Ravine
If you happen to know me in person, you know that this was an inevitability. I am a big Dodgers fan, and watch nearly every game. This will be my clubhouse for all things Dodgers. Game recaps, weekly projections, personal stories from Dodgers Stadium.
The Card Table
I have recently rekindled a very old love for opening packs of cards. It’s okay though because even though it is an expensive hobby, it is also time consuming… So I recently got into making a library of my 5000+ collection and have been going to card shops. The stories (mistakes likely) go here.

Ringside Reactions
Weirdly enough, I did not grow up watching wrestling in the slightest. I started a bit in high school, and grew to appreciate it in a different way as an adult. I learned to respect the storytelling and the difficulties that come with a new, live show every week. Today, I try to stay current with the WWE when I can. These will be my thoughts on current and past matches, shows, or wrestlers.
Between the Chapters
This is for the “everything else” stuff. Personal motivation, random acts of creativity, Pokémon top 10 lists, whatever else pops up!
My goal here is to post consistently, but I will also maintain honesty and effort into the content I post before letting it turn into a brainrot treadmill. For now you can expect to probably see 2 to 4 posts per week until I start to develop a routine! I am already looking to incorporate a gaming channel, and I am looking into what it would take to build a trading card hub as well!
Some weeks will probably lean heavy in one creative direction or the other. Some posts will look polished and professional. Some posts will definitely be word vomit.
I want this space to be thoughtful, fun, personal, useful, and real. I want it to be a place where stories matter, hobbies are worth taking seriously, and growth doesn’t have to be picture perfect to be recognized.
